We ensure our websites and contents are accessible to a wide range of visitors including those with disabilities.
Zoom
For users with visual impairments, if using the latest browser versions with 'text-zoom', text-size can be increased by holding down 'Ctrl' key and scrolling (at the same time) the wheel of your mouse.
Access keys
Our website can be navigated by using pre-defined 'access keys', i.e. keyboard shortcuts (see below for the list of key combinations). You can access the key navigational sections of this website without the need for a mouse by using access keys.
To navigate with access keys:
Windows
- For Mozilla Firefox hold down the 'Shift' key, 'Alt' key and the access key (listed below)
- For Internet Explorer hold down the 'Alt' key and the access key, release the keys and press the 'Enter' key
Macintosh
- Hold down the 'Ctrl' key and the access key

We use alternative text for images - useful for users who either cannot see the image, or disable their images.
Accessible forms
All our form elements have labels. You can use you keyboard to fill information rather then mouse by using the tab key.

Rather than using "Click here" for links, we make every effort to make the link more descriptive so you'll get a better idea of where the link will take you.
Non reliance on Javascript for crucial pages
Understanding the need that Javascript navigations can cause problems to some users we use simple navigation that can be access using access keys or tabs. A Site Map of our website is available for quick reference to all pages.
Proper headings
Proper heading in <h1> tags, help make it easy to understand the information being provide on a page.
Print option is available at the same location on all important pages so that these pages can be printed and read later.
Email to a friend
Email to a friend option is available at the same location on most important pages to help share information - a link of the current page can be emailed to your contact.
